I. Educational Objectives

This program is designed to cultivate students with all-round development of moral, intellectual and physical beauty, solid foundation theory, innovative and entrepreneurial ability, with Yi’meng spirit and international perspective. Graduates will master the basic theory and knowledge of computer science and technology, and master the specialized knowledge, methods and skills of mobile program development or big data system development, with the basic engineering capabilities in mobile program design, deployment and implementation, analysis and operation, or with practical abilities in big data system design, development and operation & maintenance. Graduates can be creative and advanced talents in the field of computer science and technology and engineering technology and meet the needs of regional economic and social development.

II. Skills Profile and Minimum Credits

The graduates should have the following specifications and requirements:

(I) Basic qualities specifications and requirements

1.    Adhere to the correct political direction, establish a correct outlook on the world, outlook on life and values; have a sense of responsibility, social responsibility and good moral quality; with legal awareness, consciously abide by the law. Be able to understand and obey the professional standards in the field of the computer industry in the engineering practice, have rigorous scientific attitude and responsibilities.

2.    Be able to assume the roles of individuals, members, or leaders in multidisciplinary teams.

3.    Be able to communicate effectively with peers and public on complex engineering issues in the computer field, including reports writing, speeches presenting, expressing or responding, having an international perspective and can communicate in a cross-cultural context

4.    Be able to understand and evaluate the impactof engineering practicesof complex computer systems engineering problemson the environmental and social sustainability.

Knowledge specifications and requirements

1.    Master knowledge of mathematics, Natural Science, engineering and computer science, which can be used to solve complex computer engineering problems.

2.    Understand and master the principles of engineering and economic management in the field of computer industry, and can be applied in a multidisciplinary environment.

(III) Ability Specifications and Requirements

1.    Be able to use the basic principles of mathematics, natural science and engineering science to identify, express and analyze complex engineering problems in the field of computer engineering.

2.    Be able to make research oncomplex engineering problems in the field of computer engineering based on scientific principles and methods, including design experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and obtain reasonable and effective conclusions

3.    Be able to design solutions of complex engineering problems in the field of computer engineering, to embody innovative ideas in the design process, and to take account of social, health, safety, legal, cultural and environmental factors.

4.    Be able to select and use appropriate technologies, resources, modern engineering tools and information technology tools for complex engineering problems in the field of computer engineering.

5.    Be able to conduct reasonable analysis and evaluate the impact of professional engineering practice and complex engineering problem solutions on social, health, safety, legal and cultural aspects based on computer engineering related background knowledge, and understand the responsibilities.

6.    Have the abilities of self-regulated learning, lifelong learning and innovative awareness.

Four years; Bachelor of Engineering.

V. Core Courses

Foundations of Programming, Electronic Technology, Data Structure, Database System, Object oriented programming, Operating systems, Computer networks, Discrete Mathematics, Principles of Computer Composition.

VI. Practical Training

Curriculum design, Graduation dissertation, Graduation internship, Innovation & Entrepreneurship practice

VII. Credit requirement

Total credits are 158 (118.5 for required courses, 40 for selective courses and 58.5 for practical training)
